'Jeremy is a Citizen of the Shawnee Tribe and the secretary of the Shawnee Tribe Cultural and Historical Preservation Committee. He has been intensively researching Shawnee and other Ohio Country Tribes material culture for more than 20 years. This presentation will look at the materials and style of Shawnee Clothing of both men and women during the 1700\'s. To do this we will look at original 18th century artwork showing the style and cut of clothing along with examining original clothing items collected during the 1700\'s that are in museum holdings. The presentation will also draw from first hand descriptions of Shawnee\'s by European observers. As well as, examining original 18th century trading lists to see what items were being purchased by Shawnee\'s to help get a better picture of what 18th Century Shawnee wore.'
