'The box single leg squat test can help you assess your single leg power and dynamic stability. Here is an instructional video on how to do this assessment. 1. Measure your standing inseam by pulling your knee to your chest and recording the distance from your heel to the ground. The test box height needs to be the same as your measured inseam. 2. Standing at the top of the box with one leg hanging down, slowly squat down while reaching with your heel. Keep your stance leg heel flat through the lowering and return to standing. The goal is to reach the ground and return to standing. Want to learn more about this and other movements? Subscribe to Kime Human Performance Institute on YouTube.
