'On April 10 afternoon, two groups of students clashed in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in Delhi. Reportedly, the fight allegedly took place as meat was being served in the hostel canteen on the occasion of Ram Navami. Jawaharlal Nehru University Students\' Union (JNUSU) has alleged that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members assaulted the mess secretary. JNUSU members alleged that ABVP members stopped the staff from serving meat in the hostel, reported NDTV. ABVP claimed that members of left organisations tried to stop a puja from being organised in the hostel.
