'Eating Balut for the first time. Balut is a 17 day old duck embryo and popular filipino street food. Trying balut was difficult, I had to pull feathers and bones out of my mouth! Later, I took a self-made Philippines Street Food Tour trying Ihaw-Ihaw which is grilled chicken intestines and the famous Lechon, a whole roasted pig. It could have competed with the best lechon in the Philippines! Although eating Lechon for the first time was absolutely delicious, eating balut was terrifying!  To make this philippines street food tour, I asked local filipinos what their favorite filipino foods were. They were all egging me on to try Balut. Get it? EGGing me on? Haha. I am a lover of exotic foods but this was definitely the strangest filipino food I have ever tasted! Always, they said we couldn’t leave Boracay without trying one of Boracay best foods, the Balut!
