'The Rogue Invitational\'s first ever Strongman competition doubled as an unforgettable comeback showcase for longtime Rogue athlete Martins Licis. The Latvian-born, American-bred 31 year-old has been battling injuries since becoming the World\'s Strongest Man in 2019, leaving some fans to wonder if he could still outduel the world\'s best across five grueling events. But The Dragon didn\'t just hang tough over the two-day competition in Texas, he added a whole new highlight reel to an already impressive resume. Finishing in the Top 3 in each of the first four events, Martins still needed a huge performance in the final challenge, Stones Over the Hitching Post, to beat the reigning World\'s Strongest Man, Tom Stoltman. He delivered in legendary fashion, claiming the first ever Rogue Invitational Strongman title and topping off a two-year rehab grind with a climb to the top of the podium.
