'How Fast can you run 3 miles? | Royal Marines 3 miler'

Follow our standards every Thursday on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/commando_performance/  Today\'s standard is one that is more specific to the Marines. It is the 3 Mile Run.  The 3 Mile Run is a middle distance event and its purpose is to test your aerobic fitness. The higher your aerobic fitness, the faster your body recovers. If you have great aerobic endurance but crumple under a ruck or fail to meet the minimum strength standards, then you need to change up you\'re training. If you can move weight but can’t run then you need to rethink your training too. Look at the chart below and tell us where you stack up.  Excellent - 18:00 minutes & under Above Average - 18:01-19:30 Average - 19:31-21:30 Below Average - 21:31 - 23:30 Poor - 23:31 minutes & over  We are in the business of creating well-balanced tactical athletes, both physically and mentally, that are stronger than runners, faster than lifters, and with the power to focus their attention in the present moment to shift our reactions.
