'Welcome to the Standing Barre Series. You will find all your favourite traditional barre style exercises, as well as some innovative new ones to target all your major muscle groups. Some of the workouts will use various pieces of equipment, such as a barre ball, light hand weights and a resistance loop, to increase the intensity, but you can do them without. This is traditional ballet barre pretzel workout that focuses on small isometric movements to really get deep into the muscles of the glutes and outer thighs. You will perform all of the exercises on one side before moving to the other side. This overload technique will build a lean, strong lower body without bulk. Doing this workout in a standing rather than seated position means that you are also engaging your supporting leg, using balance and working against gravity more. This is definitely a great way to sculpt lean outer thighs and hips.
