'Tony Jeffries shows how to do shadow boxing for beginners. Just about every boxer out there does shadowboxing. You can do it just about anywhere, including within the comfort of your own home. The reasons why they do it include the following. #1 it’s a great extension to warm up the specific muscles you will use in that boxing session. #2 it’s great for fighters visualizing an opponent. #3 Great for working on bad habits such as putting your hands down when boxing. #4 it’s a great workout. Shadowboxing can seem really weird for the beginners since you are literally punching the air. Lots of people wonder whether shadow boxing is good for a workout or not. Others are curious about how to do shadowboxing and whether it can be done at home. Keep your hands up high and throw punches realistically as if something is actually in front of your head. Focus on perfecting your boxing technique above everything else. If you are a beginner, it could feel really awkward at first. However, the more you shadowbox, the easier it becomes. When shadowboxing always choose s few areas to work on such as your boxing stance, footwork, pinches, combinations and defense. Through the video, I will demonstrate how you can shadowbox with a concentration on footwork and defense. I will also show you a punches and defense example. Feint and attack concentration is another example of shadow boxing we will go over in this video. We will finish with a high intensity concentration example. This one will really get your heart pumping and prove to be a great workout. As you shadowbox, start slow, get comfortable and then you can move on to high intensity shadowboxing. Practice makes perfect holds true to shadowboxing as well, so don’t quit because you couldn’t get your form right the first time.
